    TIFF 2019 will open with a documentary on The Band's Robbie Robertson

    A documentary about Toronto rock group The Band will open the 44th Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 5, the festival group has announced. Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and the Band tells the story of Roberts, a First Nations guitarist/singer/songwriter who was a founding member of The Band.
