Herb Alpert
Herb Alpert recently celebrated his 90 birthday and is still performing.
Just watched an interview segment he did with CBS Mornings which he has dowloaded to his own YouTube channel
Fantastic!! Still has the lung power to play the trumpet all these years later
The only difference is these days he sits instead of standing while performing.
He still sounds great & that eight and-a-half minute CBS interview is fabulous

I enjoyed the interview as well. I got a chuckle over the fact that he initially disliked the cover art for the album "Whipped Cream & Other Delights", which has since become iconic.

Yes that album cover is a classic
I suppose he disliked it until the royalty cheques started to arrive in his mailbox.

Yeah, never mind his business acumen as evidenced by the great talent that A&M signed on. Interesting that most of A&M's stuff is what I guess we call "Adult Contemporary" with some Classic Rock mix. Brilliant musician and producer.
