    Keith Spera is a really good music writer in NOLA.  This is long and full of very good information.  Combine this with the post Aaron made to the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, and you really don't need anything else.

    Fox News isn't available to me here in Toronto, so although her parentage is probably well-enough known to many in the US, I hadn't been aware of this -- or for that matter, Athelgra's involvement with the Dixie Cups (which I confirmed via Wikipedia). Interesting trivia in both cases.
