Hard to find

What was the hardest song you tried to find and were you successful?

For me it was Wiggle Waggle Walk - Tony Smith and His Aristocrats
I don’t know why that song has haunted me for almost 70 years, maybe it’s the sax.
Found an mp3 online and bought the 45 on ebay.

Runner ups were
Sea Shell Sherry - Jerry Keller
The Little Blue Man - Betty Johnson
Ribbon of Darkness - Bill Black's Combo
I found all 3 on CD

Re: Hard to find

I've always been a huge fan of Doug Sahm and The Sir Douglas Quintet, and I had a tough time tracking down Doug's first single, "A Real American Joe", released on Sarg records in 1955. (Sarg is perhaps most famous for turning down Willie Nelson's first recording). I finally found it at a place that sold vintage 45's. Today it would have been a lot easier...Discogs lists three copies for sale.
