It's a nostalgia tinged tune for the 83-year-old former Beatle, his first significant release in half a decade. It's called "The Days We Let Behind" and the album that accompanies it, called "The Boys of Dungeon Lane," recalls his childhood in England before he became a superstar.
Here's the first track released from the LP, which will be out May 29th. Have to say the voice is not what I think of when I recall the rock icon. Is it age or is he just singing it differently? You can judge for yourself below.

Like a lot of older rockers, Paul has lost some of his vocal range, so I think he's staying in a key that's in his comfort zone. He's done a few songs in that upper register in the past; "Ram On" comes to mind. That being said, I think it's a pretty good song and, as a Beatles completest, I'll likely pick up the CD.

I'm not a laryngologist, however, what I have personally witnessed is while many of the famed senior artists may not have the full range, many may continue to vocalize and be spot-on wit the notes, just not as strong. I would parcel Mr. McCartney into that cadre. I, personally, look forward to purchasing, at least this song, probably the entire album. Nostalgia mixed with a great voice and lyrics. What you said Roman.
