Saw this on my local radio board, but it really belongs here. Ringo Starr, one of only two surviving Beatles, has released a new music video in advance of his tour. It's called "Long Long Road" and shows the drummer in a vintage convertible driving down various thoroughfares, with echoes of the Beatles accompanying him on his travels.
We see the car drive down the runway at JFK Airport in 1964, as the Fab Four arrives in America. There are scenes of his early life in London, and the video begins with an Octopus (in his Garden?) as a Yellow Submarine floats by. Veteran producer T. Bone Burnett was part of the video and Sheryl Crow is among those adding vocals.
It's fun spotting all the history. And the song itself? Not bad but it's no Lennon-McCartney! Still, it's fun looking back at his life and times - not to mention our own.
