just watched a fairly recent joan baez concert, mostly to hear her cover of a steve earle song which she brought a nice edge to i didn't really expect. toward the end of her set she gave an interesting nod to the classic rca label, saying something to the effect of, in regard to one of her early tracks, "i recorded this when all you had to do was stand beside the big dog and sing into the tuba."  got a laugh ot of that one, hope you do too.
