Rhapsody in Blue – disco version

I apologize, I have asked this before but I’ve forgotten again.  What was the name of the disco version of Rhapsody in Blue?  I tried Google but couldn’t find it.

Re: Rhapsody in Blue – disco version

Not sure if this would be it, but Deodato did a version that got to #41.

Re: Rhapsody in Blue – disco version

Thanks but that’s not it.  The one I’m looking for got a lot of airplay.  It began sounding just like Rhapsody in Blue but broke into a disco beat part way in.   As best I remember the name was not Rhapsody in Blue.

Re: Rhapsody in Blue – disco version

That probably rules out Walter Murphy, but here's his version just in case.

Re: Rhapsody in Blue – disco version

No, the Google search I did gave me the Walter Murphy and Babyface versions, neither is it.

Re: Rhapsody in Blue – disco version

Ok, strike two ... this probably isn't it either, but I'm going to go down swinging.

Re: Rhapsody in Blue – disco version

No, that turned up in a search too.

I’m pretty sure you’re swinging at pitches out of the zone if the name is Rhapsody in Blue.

Re: Rhapsody in Blue – disco version

Yes, I've realized that the fact that these recordings have been titled Rhapsody In Blue, hasn't been a good sign. However, since I haven't been able to come up with anything with a different title, I thought I'd post them just in case. I can certainly understand why you haven't been able to find it.

Re: Rhapsody in Blue – disco version

Actually, it was easy last time.  First response was the correct song.  Like I said, it got a lot of play maybe mid to late 70’s.
